Like many of the Dummies guides, this audiobook gives the listener an introductory exploration into how one becomes "greener." From the dinner table or the bathroom to the office, the authors provide practical tips and small changes people can make to decrease their waste and environmental footprint. While at times the reading feels like one long bulleted list, listeners can still cull a decent number of ideas to integrate into their lives. However, the authors falter on providing a cohesive approach or method to greener living and occasionally even contradict themselves (encouraging water conservation and then encouraging people to take showers at work). Brett Barry provides the congenial voice one expects from a good salesman or tour guide, which is a significant feat considering the aforementioned listings. The major problem with an audio like this is it either requires repeated listening or lots of pausing in order to write down useful tips. A quick reference guide along with the audiobook would have been greatly beneficial. A For Dummies paperback.
